DJcityTV’s Best DJ Routines of 2016
2016 was a big year for DJcityTV. We launched six new series and released over a hundred videos, many of which were turntablism-related. In the end, our videos received over two million combined views on Facebook, Vimeo, and YouTube.
In December, our team traveled to Chile to cover the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals. DJcity was the exclusive media partner for the seven-day event.
Earlier in the year, we teamed with Battle Avenue for the US At the Ave Tour. The eight-city trip was also documented on DJcityTV.
Above is a recap of the best routines of 2016. It includes clips from one-off videos, along with snippets from established series like Cutting Room and Bedroom Sessions and new series like Off the Beat and Path and Studio Sessions.

Mayeda Live Remixes Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj’s ‘Side to Side’
DJ/producer Mayeda is known for his chart-topping remixes on DJcity, but he’s also a skilled keyboardist. To showcase his talent, DJcityTV has launched a new series that features him live remixing current club and radio hits.
On the first episode, Mayeda transforms Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj‘s reggae-infused smash “Side to Side” into a future bass groover.

Born and raised in Rotterdam, Robert Abigail quickly became one of the most popular commercial foreign DJ’s in Belgium due to releasing the smash hit “Mojito Song”. Now considered a Belgian native, Robert hosts his favorite tracks for the DJcity podcast.

Watch DJ Kentaro’s Showcase Set at the IDA World DJ Championships

IDA World has shared DJ Kentaro‘s showcase set from the IDA World DJ Championships, which took place earlier this month in Poland.
The former DMC World Champion, who was invited as a special guest, put down an impressive eight-minute routine.

The Biggest DJ Tech Stories of 2016
2016 saw a variety of new DJ products and updates to existing equipment. To wrap up the year, Mojaxx takes a look at 2016’s biggest stories, including Rane’s sale to InMusic, the addition of DVS to rekordbox DJ, and the Numark PT01 Scratch portable turntable.

Trayze Performs With Roland and Serato’s DJ-808 Controller, Part 2
This year’s Red Bull Thre3style US Champion Trayze has returned with part two of his demo of Roland and Serato’s DJ-808 controller. The Washington, D.C. native originally performed the routine on “909 Day” in September, a 24-hour live stream hosted by Roland and Serato.
