Designed to be beginner-friendly, the DDJ-200 is billed as a “smart DJ controller.” It is a wireless controller which connects to various smartphone DJing apps via Bluetooth. Also, the device works with streaming services such as Beatport LINK, SoundCloud Go+, Spotify, and more.

Gear Porn is a new weekly live stream that tackles technical questions related to DJing, VJing, and live performing. It is hosted by Ray a.k.a. Arkaei, a Polish artist who has written articles for DJWORX.
To kick off the live stream, Gear Porn has launched a competition to win a high-performance laptop and a trip to the Sample Music Festival in Berlin.
How to enter the “20 Bars of Awesome” contest:
– Film a video of yourself performing a routine that is 20 bars long (two-bar intro, two-bar outro, and 16 bars in between).
– Use software that runs on a laptop. The winner will have to use the laptop that they win during the second part of the battle, which will take place at the Sample Music Festival between August 16 and 18.
The Linear 4V is a made-to-order, four-channel mixer with a variety of features. The FX unit is a compact piece that is made to integrate with MasterSounds mixers, but works with a number of other mixers as well.
Following its announcement on Tuesday, Mojaxx has provided a first look at Pioneer DJ’s new DDJ-800 controller. The device, which is designed for rekordbox dj, is a more portable and affordable version of the DDJ-1000.
Serato has announced its entry into the music production market with its Serato Studio software.
The application aims to lower the barrier to entry for DJs who are interested in music production. Features include access to the Serato DJ library, waveform displays, cue points, and time-stretching and key detection with Pitch ‘n Time.
Serato Studio works with a range of Serato-enabled hardware such as mixers and controllers, allowing them to function as MIDI controllers.
It is currently available as a limited public beta. Upon its full release, Serato Studio will be available via subscription to allow for regular software updates and additional sample content.
