DJ Woody Performs All-Vinyl Set at London’s Royal Albert Hall

DJ Woody

UK turntablist DJ Woody recently had the opportunity to perform at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall. Woody dropped an hour-long, all-vinyl 45 set that included hip-hop, funk, and more.

For the last few years, Woody has been the supporting act for Hacienda Classical, an orchestral show celebrating the legacy of the legendary Hacienda Nightclub. On July 6, the show made its way to the Royal Albert Hall where the turntablist put his skills on full display.

Outlow is an EDM DJ/producer from Italy. Winning the national DJ contest organised by Reload Music Festival in 2017, he earned the opportunity to share the stage with artists like The Chainsmokers, Carnage, Benny Benassi, Tujamo, MakJ, and many more.

Now Outlow has won the best routine for the Sottosopra Fest x DJ Italia mix contest. He will be opening up at the one of the main Sottosopra Fest concerts. Watch his winning routine above.

MORENNO, the Red Bull Music 3Style Brazil champ, has delivered an energetic mix for DJcityTV. The turntablist drops remixes of current and classic club hits, along with one of his own edits.

The Curitiba native is an accomplished battle DJ. He was a 3Style Brazil finalist in 2016 and 2017 before making it to the IX World Finals. MORENNO was also the vice-champion of the 2016 Freestyle Scratches Brasil battle.

DJ Misterhustla is a resident at some of Finland’s biggest clubs, like Club Diamond, Sikatiistai, and Club Capital. He has recently come back from South Africa, where he got his inspiration for this afro house mix. Listen to the mix below.

Here’s what Misterhustla had to say: “Gqom is South African afro house sub genre coming from Durban. Gqom music relates a lot to house music but it is also very different. It is very tribal and the kick drum has unique three-step or two-step pattern. Gwara gwara is South African viral dance made popular by DJ Bongz and later by Rihanna, Chris Brown and others.”
