Italy’s Damianito has been crowned the Red Bull 3Style VIII World Champion. The battle took place on Sunday night at the Juliusz Slowacki Theatre in Krakow, Poland.

Damianito delivered an impressive routine despite only finding out Sunday morning that he would be competing in the final as a wild card. He was energetic, pulled off some clean tricks, and creatively used a talk box during his set.

The Rome native, who serves as DJcity’s Italy representative, was left speechless afterward. He simply thanked everyone and said that he had “always imagined” himself being there.

Damianito faced some stiff competition in Belgium’s DJ Cross and Canada’s Cam B, who took second and third place respectively. Also competing were Chile’s Diego Zapata, Japan’s RINA, and South Africa’s Ryan the DJ.

Judging the battle were DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Nu-Mark, Craze, Skratch Bastid, and Nina Las Vegas.

We will share Damianito’s winning set as soon as it becomes available.
