DJ Spider and DJ Dynamix
After a holiday break, DJ Spider returns to speak with DJ Dynamix on the Beatsource‘s The 20 Podcast. The episode was recorded at Beatsource’s new headquarters in Los Angeles.
Dynamix is an award-winning DJ and turntablist from Los Angeles. He’s a former five-time Red Bull 3Style US finalist and finalist on VH1’s Master of the Mix show. When he’s not rocking clubs around the world or battling, Dynamix serves as an instructor at the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound DJ school in Los Angeles.

‘R.O.A.D. Podcast’: DJ Dynamix Recalls When His Laptop Crashed at Red Bull 3Style
On this week’s R.O.A.D. Podcast, the crew talks to renowned party rocker, DJ Dynamix. The Los Angeles DJ shares his experience at last year’s Red Bull 3Style finals in Philadelphia when his laptop crashed in the middle of his performance.
The three-time Red Bull 3Style regional champion, also discusses his process for preparing routines for competitions and the expectations clubs have of him after his success in the battle scene.

DJ Dynamix Launches Visual Mixtape Series, ‘Open Format Fridays’

DJ Dynamix has launched Open Format Fridays, a visual mixtape series in which he’ll showcase his turntablist-friendly mixes on video.
The three-time Red Bull Music 3Style Los Angeles champion described the series on Instagram:
“[I’ll] go through different themes and genres and try to tell a story through the music. I’ll be incorporating new and old mixing techniques and implement some of the newer features in the DJ technology world. This first episode is Top 40. Just wanted to do something everyone can understand.”
In the first episode, Dynamix takes viewers on a 10-minute journey through a variety of popular hits. He weaves together a few different themes using creative word play and tone play transitions.

DJ OBSCENE and DJ Dynamix Perform a Routine Using Pioneer DJ’s DJM-S3
DJ OBSCENE and DJ Dynamix stopped by DJcity’s office in Los Angeles to play around with Pioneer DJ’s new two-channel mixer, the DJM-S3. The former Red Bull 3Style champions ended up putting together a routine and performing it for us.

After a six-month hiatus, DJcityTV’s Off the Beat and Path series is back with a second video. On this episode, DJ Dynamix hikes three miles to the summit of Echo Mountain in Los Angeles for a portable scratch session. Dynamix is a three-time Red Bull Thre3style Los Angeles Champion and was a contestant on season three of VH1’s Master of the Mix.
