Boi Jeanius, a finalist in the 2015 Redbull Thre3style US Championship and instructor at Chicago’s Scratch DJ Academy, throws down a 30-minute mix for this week’s DJcity Podcast. His set features some of today’s hottest hip-hop tracks along with a couple of throwbacks.
Jeanius was previously featured in the Chicago episode of DJcity TV’s Cutting Room series.

Scratch DJ Academy has released a Routine Royale episode featuring Chicago’s Boi Jeanius.
In addition to being the 2015 Redbull Thre3style Midwest Regional Champion, Jeanius is an instructor at Scratch DJ Academy, Chicago. He was also named 2010 Best Mid-West DJ by Latin Mixx.

Virtual DJ announced earlier this week that Pioneer’s DDJ-SZ will start shipping with Virtual DJ Pro 8 in mid-December. To celebrate the news, the company invited Chicago DJs Boi Jeanius and Cut Cuz throw down a brief routine with the controller and their software.
Boi Jeanius is an instructor at Scratch DJ Academy and was featured in the Chicago episode of DJcity TV’s “Cutting Room” series alongside Big Once, Trentino, Flipside, and MaddJazz.

Last month, DJcity TV aired its first episode of the “Cutting Room” starring DJs from outside California. Now, the Windy City gets a chance to shine in our latest episode. We’re not picking favorites but this might be our best episode yet!
The four minute scratch session features Chicago’s Boi Jeanius (103.5 Kiss FM), Flipside (Jump Smokers, B96), Big Once (US Red Bull Thre3style champ), Maddjazz and Trentino (103.5 Kiss FM, Midwest Red Bull Thre3style champ) getting wild on the decks. The instrumental is “Ya’ll Can’t Mess with Chicago” by Jump Smokers.
