DJ IKU Demonstrates Beat Juggling Technique for CDJs on GENRE BNDR’s ‘CH419’

Japan’s renowned turntablist, DJ IKU, demonstrates a beat juggling technique for CDJs on the latest episode of GENRE BNDR‘s CH419.

Since most nightclubs carry CDJs over turntables, the 2010 Red Bull 3Style Japan champion wanted to showcase some club-friendly beat juggling alternatives.

DJcity Canada director 4KORNERS has served up an open-format party rock mix for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour set features an eclectic selection of baile funk, dance, hip-hop, and Latin, as well as some unreleased original music from his label JN SHPPRD.

The Toronto native has been the official DJ for the Toronto Raptors for the last 14 seasons. 4KORNERS will be releasing “Tell Me,” his new collaborative single with Acejax and Kyngs this Thursday, May 21.

Calle 13’s ‘Atrevete-Te-Te’ Remixed by D’Maduro: DJcity Exclusive

The latest from Dutch DJ/producer D’Maduro is a moombahton take on Calle 13‘s reggaeton classic “Atrevete-Te-Te.” The song was a smash hit upon its release and led to the group winning three Latin GRAMMY Awards.

Regarding the remix, D’Maduro notes “I gave this bad boy banger some new life with some fresh percussions and chops!”

Beatsource LINK Launches Integrations With Algoriddim’s djay and djay Pro Apps

Beatsource LINK, the joint venture between DJcity and Beatport, has launched new integrations with Algoriddim‘s djay and djay Pro apps. The announcement follows the beta launch of Beatsource LINK in Pioneer DJ‘s rekordbox software in early May.

With a subscription to Beatsource LINK, open-format DJs can access millions of curated tracks and hundreds of playlists within their performance software. Premium subscriptions offer Beatsource LINK’s patented offline mode, which enables DJs to play their tracks without an internet connection.

Algoriddim, which has millions of customers, offers their djay app on iOS and Android devices, and their djay Pro app on Mac and Windows.

Beatport LINK, which is built on the same technology as Beatsource LINK, has also been integrated into djay and djay Pro.

Karim Morsy, co-founder and CEO of Algoriddim, said in the press release:
