The Best New Portablism Gear of 2017?
2017 has been another big year for portablism, with advances in existing technology and the introduction of new products. As it comes to an end, Mojaxx takes a look at the best gear that was released in the second half of the year. His wrap-up includes a tone arm, platter, and two fader stands.

Red Bull 3Style Germany Finalists
Red Bull 3Style has chosen the following DJs to compete in the Germany national finals:
Mr. Tone, DJ Remake, DJ Hands On, Juizzed, and DJ Ruzo.
The competition will be held at Panke Culture in Berlin, Germany on Dec. 3.
This announcement is part of a series of daily updates in which DJcity will reveal the participants for each competing country.

Massari Enlists Tory Lanez for New Track ‘Number One’
Born in Lebanon and now based in Canada, Massari has a huge international fan base with over 3 million Facebook fans. The key to Massari’s universal appeal is his signature sound; a distinct blend of Middle Eastern melodies with a contemporary club-ready feel.
For his latest single “Number One”, he’s collaborated with Tory Lanez to give this slow-winding dancehall sounding track that extra bit of seduction.

How to Redrum With Roland’s DJ-808
On this episode of DJcityTV and Beat Refinery’s Turntable Techniques, Trayze explains how to do live redrums with Roland’s DJ-808 controller using its TR-S drum machine and sounds. The technique can be used to beef up sections of tracks that don’t have drums (e.g.: the breakdown).

Afrobeats legend Fuse ODG is back, teaming up with Ed Sheeran and Mugeez, for their brand new track, “Boa Me”. The collaboration came about after Fuse openly invited Ed to soak up the music vibe in Ghana.
The title of Fuse’s new afrobeats hit means “help me” in Twi, a popular dialect in Ghana, and the track sees Ed impressively deliver his vocals in the dialect. The video shows the fun and the beauty of Africa, whilst the good friends enjoy themselves.
