Mojaxx Reviews Pioneer DJ’s DJM-V10-LF

Pioneer DJ DJM-V10-LF

In this episode of Tips and Tricks, Mojaxx takes an in-depth look at Pioneer DJ‘s new DJM-V10-LF six-channel mixer, which is a variant of the original DJM-V10 model.

The DJM-V10-LF’s crossfader has been removed in exchange for longer channel faders with optimized curves and a new custom-designed curve preset to ensure smooth and accurate mixes. This allows the new 60 mm shaft slide faders on the DJM-V10-LF to extend further down the top plate than the 45 mm faders on the original mixer. This development enables users to control the audio source volume from each channel more precisely.

Pioneer DJ Announces DJM-S11 Mixer

(Source: Pioneer DJ)

Pioneer DJ has announced the DJM-S11 mixer, the successor to its game-changing DJM-S9. The two-channel, four-deck battle mixer builds off the success of the previous iteration with some major additions while improving on its predecessor’s key features.

Most notably, the DJM-S11 comes equipped with a 4.3-inch touch screen that displays waveforms, a track browser, FX, and more. The display has a day mode option, similar to that of Serato DJ Pro, which makes the screen easier to view in daylight. An industry-first feature called “Deck 3/4 Control” allows access to decks three and four via the touch screen, to enhance the creative possibilities of live mashups and remixes.

Another notable addition is that the mixer includes dual USB inputs for connecting CDJs and controllers. It features a number of new pad modes as well.

Pioneer DJ will also be releasing the DJM-S11-SE, a special edition that is visually reminiscent of their highly-regarded DJM-909 mixer.

The DJM-S11 is available now at a suggested retail price of $1,999 USD, while the DJM-S11-SE retails for $2,099 USD. In related news, Serato has released Serato DJ Pro 2.4.1, which includes support for the mixers.
