Skratch School Announces ‘Boasty’ DJ Challenge

Skratch School

Skratch Bastid’s Skratch School has announced their “Boasty” DJ Challenge. The star-studded collab by Wiley, Stefflon Don, and Sean Paul features vocals from actor/DJ Idris Elba. It peaked at No. 11 on the UK Singles chart.

Competitors must record a video of them flipping the track in a creative, skillful way as they would in a club set. The winner will receive a pair of 12″ Serato control vinyl, a Red Bull Music 3Style “Play With Music” hat and sweater, and a Bastid’s BBQ apron.

Here’s how to enter:

– Download the tools here. Record a video using at least one part of “Boasty”, whether it’s the full song, the instrumental, or pieces of the acapella.
– Your entry must be at least 16 bars long (approx 37s), up to a max of 2 minutes.
– This challenge will be judged on musical creativity (50%) as well as technical skill and technique (50%). The goal here is to create a routine that works in the club, and showcases your skills.
