Kutcorners Shows How to Produce a Remix in Serato Studio
Kutcorners, one half of the DJ/producer duo Live Evil, shows how to produce a remix in Serato Studio on a new episode of DJcityTV’s Behind the Beats series.
The Vancouver native rebuilds Live Evil’s remix of Rich The Kid‘s 2014 track “Why You Mad” layer by layer, highlighting the benefits of Serato Studio along the way.
Serato Studio is the company’s first foray into music production. It launched in March and is currently in beta.

Watch: Live Evil Delivers Mini Mix for Serato
DJ/production duo Live Evil have delivered a unique set for Serato’s In The Mix series. In their performance, consisting mostly of throwback hip-hop, the Vancouver natives combine DJing with live instrumentation to flip tracks on the fly.
Live Evil is made up of DJcity Canada team member DJ Marvel and Serato artist relations representative Kutkorners.

Watch Live Evil Perform ‘Bang That’ at Serato
Vancouver duo Live Evil (Kutcorners and DJ Marvel) have made a name for themselves with their remixes and live performances. Their sets feature impressive combinations of finger drumming, sample triggering, scratching, and other techniques.
Now, Live Evil have put their skills on display in an three-minute routine for DJcityTV. The video, which was filmed at Serato‘s Los Angeles studio, shows them performing an original track called “Bang That.” Viewers can also learn how to perform the routine with six free lessons from music education app, Melodics.

Vancouver Duo Live Evil Drops DJcity Podcast Mix
Live Evil, a DJ/production duo made up of Vancouver natives Kutcorners and DJ Marvel, have put down a 36-minute mix for the DJcity Podcast. Their set, which features hip-hop and bass music, includes one of their original tracks, and seven of their remixes.
The two mapped out their mix in Los Angeles and worked on it while Kutcorners was in Austin, Texas for SXSW, and Marvel was in the Bahamas.
