Attend the Red Bull 3Style UK Hangout

Red Bull 3Style is more than a competition; it’s a celebration of DJ culture. As part of this year’s UK national final, get a chance to network with DJs from all over the nation ahead of the battle, from 7:30-9:00PM.

Competing in this year’s UK national final will be DJs Rumz, Revrt, X-Ray Ted, DJames, L-Biz, and Isit. The winner of the battle will represent the UK at the world finals in Moscow.

Beatsource and DJ Spider Launch ‘The 20 Podcast’

Beatsource, the new digital music service from Beatport and DJcity, has launched The 20 Podcast. Hosted by DJ Spider, the show features interviews with influential DJs and music industry professionals. Spider and the guests begin by going through standout tracks from Beatsource’s weekly list of must-have songs, The 20.

For the debut episode, Spider sits down with Miles Beard, VP of A&R at Artist Partner/Artist Publishing Group (APG), an arm of Atlantic Records. Miles was responsible for signing Charlie Puth and has A&R’d hits for stars like David Guetta, Pitbull, and Jason Derulo. Miles discusses his journey from starting as a DJ in Los Angeles to becoming a successful A&R.

BBC Radio 1 Search for Christmas Presenter

Anyone with radio experience is being invited to send their demos to BBC Radio 1 with a chance of appearing on their Christmas schedule. From Boxing Day until New Year’s Eve, Radio 1 wants to showcase the best in new and emerging talent and offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to broadcast nationally with them.

The station is looking for those who know their way around a radio desk and have previous radio experience, be it in community, hospital, student or local radio.

Aspiring presenters can submit their demos via the Radio 1 website with submissions closing midnight on Sunday 27th October.

All applicants must be 18 or over and have prior radio experience.

Dubai DJcity Linkup Announced

The official DJcity Linkup is back in the UAE.

After the success of the April event, we have joined forces with Sample Music Festival to deliver an interactive networking event featuring demos from top brands such as Ableton and Native instruments.

The Sample Music Festival event is taking place at Hall 4, Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is from 15th – 17th October, with the DJcity Linkup taking place on Wednesday 16th October from 4pm to 6pm.

DJcity UK Linkup 2019 Announced

The official DJcity UK Linkup is back for another year. After the success and positive feedback from last year’s link up, we have joined forces again with BEATGEEK for an exclusive DJ, producer, and brand event.

The BEATGEEK event is taking place at Aures London, 18 Leake Street, Lambeth, SE1 7NN. The event is from 27th – 29th September, with the DJcity UK Linkup taking place on Sunday 29th September from 3pm to 6pm.

The Sunday event will be broken down into below:

Portablist Lounge 2019 Battle Finals
On Leake Street itself, a whole day of open portable turntables, networking, tutorials, cyphers, the Portablist Lounge Battle and much more. Portablist lounge is completely portable, powered by a minirigs soundsystem.

Located in the Link Tunnel, there are trade stalls from various brands with products available to purchase on the day.

Beyond the Music Retreat

In March, DJcity and DJ/producer Vice joined forces to host the inaugural Beyond the Music Retreat in Black Hawk, Colorado.

The conference, which took place over two days, featured some of the brightest minds in the industry. The panelists included Chuckie, A-Trak, Z-Trip, Justin Credible, Miles Medina, and DJ Spider.

The retreat made an impact on its attendees, including A-Trak, who took to Twitter to reflect on the experience.

Those who didn’t attend can now watch a mini-documentary that includes interviews with panelists and attendees.

Audio-Visual Arts Festival Announce London Conference

AVA (Audio-Visual Arts) started in Belfast 5 years ago, and now they are one of the UK’s leading electronic music festivals and conferences.

Now they are bringing the conference to London.
