2022 Beyond the Music Retreat Recap
The 2022 Beyond the Music Retreat was one for the books. The educational conference for DJs, which took place from June 13-15 in Arizona, was attended by hundreds of DJs from around the world and featured a variety of discussion panels and networking events. James Hype Talks Beyond the Music Retreat, Three Shows on One Hour of Sleep
After a long flight delay, U.K. DJ/producer James Hype shared on his latest vlog episode how he still managed to make it to the Beyond The Music Retreat panel in Phoenix, Arizona on June 15th. James was set to speak on music production on the “Samples and Hi-Hats” panel alongside MAKJ, DJ Nick Bike, and Kidd Spin. The conference, which features discussion panels and networking events with some of the DJ world’s brightest minds, is a collaboration between DJcity, Beatsource and DJ Vice.

Watch the ‘Beyond the Music Retreat’ Documentary
In March, DJcity and DJ/producer Vice joined forces to host the inaugural Beyond the Music Retreat in Black Hawk, Colorado.
The conference, which took place over two days, featured some of the brightest minds in the industry. The panelists included Chuckie, A-Trak, Z-Trip, Justin Credible, Miles Medina, and DJ Spider.
The retreat made an impact on its attendees, including A-Trak, who took to Twitter to reflect on the experience.
Those who didn’t attend can now watch a mini-documentary that includes interviews with panelists and attendees.
