Dean Guest Delivers Hip-Hop Routine for DJcityTV
Toronto-based DJ/producer Dean Guest has thrown down a technical routine for DJcityTV. In his performance, the 29-year-old turntablist cuts up a mix of new and old hip-hop tracks.
Guest has performed all over Toronto, including sets at Skratch Bastid‘s “Bastid’s BBQ” afterparty and the radio station Vibe105FM. His tracks have been supported by DJcity, Pitbull‘s Globalization channel on SiriusXM, and French radio station Mouv’.

Win a Trip to the 2019 Goldie Awards

Would you love to attend the 2019 Goldie Awards DJ and beat battle in New York City? Enter DJcity’s contest for a chance to win a trip with a friend.
The winner will receive a roundtrip flight for two people, a hotel room for one night, and VIP access to the Goldie Awards on October 17 at Brooklyn Steel.
The contest is open to DJs and beatmakers in the US and Canada.
To enter, post a 60-second or less video of yourself on Instagram flipping the word “gold” in either a DJ or beat routine. You must tag @DJcity and @goldieawards in your caption, and include the hashtag #SendMeToGoldieAwards. Entries are due by October 1, 2019.
DJcity will pick a winner based on creativity.

Dr. Dre’s ‘The Next Episode’ Remixed by LUS: DJcity Exclusive

LUS, a 17-year-old DJ/producer from the Netherlands, has dropped a moombahton rework of Dr. Dre‘s 2000 anthem, “The Next Episode.” This track is LUS’ first featured DJcity exclusive.
“The Next Episode” was the third single off Dre’s second album, 2001. The song, which features West Coast legends Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and Nate Dogg, peaked at No. 23 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
