This week, the MikiDZ Podcast crew invites special guest DJ Lazyboy onto the show. Fresh off his win at the Goldie Awards, Lazyboy tells the fellas about his experience. The 3rd Annual Goldie Awards winners have been announced! The DJ battle champion is DJ ADMC, and the beat battle champion is Lionclad. Congratulations to the new champions!

The battle was hosted by Denzel Curry and YehMe2. The judges consisted of Armand Van Helden, Just Blaze, Busy P, Craze, Take A Daytrip, Alison Wonderland, UNIIQU3, and Kittens.

UPDATE: The 3rd Annual Goldie Awards DJ battle champion is DJ ADMC, and the beat battle champion is Lionclad.

The 3rd Annual Goldie Awards DJ and beat battle is going down tonight, Oct. 17, at Brooklyn Steel in New York City. The beat battle starts at 7:30pm EST, with the DJ battle kicking off at 9:00pm EST.

For those in the NYC area, tickets are available here. For everyone else, DJcity will be livestreaming the event on our Facebook page.

The battle will be hosted by Denzel Curry and YehMe2. Judging the battle are Armand Van Helden, Just Blaze, Busy P, Craze, Take A Daytrip, Alison Wonderland, UNIIQU3, and Kittens.

DJcity’s 2019 Goldie Awards Contest Winner Announced

A few weeks ago DJcity announced the 2019 Goldie Awards contest. We asked contestants to post a 60-second or less video of themselves flipping the word “gold” in either a DJ or beat routine on Instagram.

After receiving a substantial amount of entries, we have picked a winner. Congratulations to Illtraxx on winning the contest!

The San Jose based DJ will receive a roundtrip flight for two people, a hotel room for one night, and VIP access to the Goldie Awards on October 17 at Brooklyn Steel.

Would you love to attend the 2019 Goldie Awards DJ and beat battle in New York City? Enter DJcity’s contest for a chance to win a trip with a friend.

The winner will receive a roundtrip flight for two people, a hotel room for one night, and VIP access to the Goldie Awards on October 17 at Brooklyn Steel.

The contest is open to DJs and beatmakers in the US and Canada.

To enter, post a 60-second or less video of yourself on Instagram flipping the word “gold” in either a DJ or beat routine. You must tag @DJcity and @goldieawards in your caption, and include the hashtag #SendMeToGoldieAwards. Entries are due by October 1, 2019.

DJcity will pick a winner based on creativity.

The Goldie Awards have announced the judges for the 2019 competition, which goes down in New York City on Oct. 17.

The awards, which feature separate DJ and beat battles, will be judged by an eclectic lineup. They include Armand Van Helden, Just Blaze, Busy P, Craze, Take A Daytrip, Alison Wonderland, UNIIQU3, and Kittens.

Hosting the competition will be Denzel Curry and YehMe2.

Entries for the DJ and beat battles are open until Sept. 1. Submission and ticket info can be found here.
