Pioneer DJ Announces rekordbox 6.0 & rekordbox for iOS 3.0

Pioneer DJ‘s rekordbox 6.0 and rekordbox for iOS 3.0 are now available. These updates now allow DJs to sync their entire music libraries to multiple devices, including Beatport LINK access, via cloud-based application Dropbox.

Export mode users can prepare sets free of charge with the performance mode’s virtual DJing environment. Among other things, this update ensures that if your computer goes missing or gets damaged, the music and metadata in your DJ library will be up to date and safely stored in the cloud.

Las Vegas-based DJ/producer Tim Tones has put down an energetic and versatile mix for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour set features Afrobeats, dancehall, Latin, moombahton, and more.

Tones has toured as an opening DJ for artists like DJ Premier, Kill the Noise, Pete Wentz, Sean Price, Slick Rick, Smoke DZA, The Lox, and more. The turntablist/party rocker currently holds residencies at Atlantic City’s mega-club The Pool After Dark and Vegas’ world-famous Drai’s After Hours.

Nicki Minaj’s ‘Starships’ Remixed by Stavros Martina and Kevin D: DJcity Exclusive

Dutch DJs/producers Stavros Martina and Kevin D have linked up on another DJcity exclusive remix. This time, they flipped Nicki Minaj‘s 2012 hit “Starships.” Upon its release, the track reached the top five on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Minaj’s most commercially successful pop song gets added thump in the bottom end here. This addition to RedOne’s original Eurodance-inspired production alongside Minaj’s rap vocals lends a Dutch house feel to the remix.
