DJ Woody (Source: Boom City)
British creative collective Boom City has delivered another episode of their documentary series, Inside Turntablists. This episode features DJ Woody, a UK-based DJ and producer. He’s a former ITF and Vestax World Champion and currently runs his own label, Woodwurk Records.
In the episode, DJ Woody discusses his history with hip-hop culture, the invention of the Woodpecker scratch, as well as his involvement with the Vestax Controller One — the world’s first-ever musical turntable instrument.

‘R.O.A.D. Podcast’: SOSUPERSAM Describes Her Famous R&B Party 143 Worldwide
On this installment of the R.O.A.D. Podcast, the crew spoke to 143 Worldwide co-founder, SOSUPERSAM. The Los Angeles-based DJ/singer shared a brief history of the renowned R&B party and explained how she dealt with the party being labeled as the “Asian Party.”
SOSUPERSAM also described the impact that the coronavirus lockdown had on 143 and how she had to quickly adapt to bring the party to Twitch.

DJ Rebel and Joelii Drop ‘Rivales’ on DJcity Records

Belgian DJ/producer DJ Rebel has partnered with Los Angeles-based vocalist Joelii for “Rivales,” DJcity Records’ latest release. The track’s pulsing drums and infectious melody make for a reggaeton heater that’s perfect for summer.
Over the past decade, Rebel has become a fixture in central Europe’s club and festival scene, best known for his expertise in producing and spinning house music. Joelii is a Dominican Republic-born singer-songwriter. He has collaborated with artists such as Major Lazer, Sak Noel, and Jenn Morel, and more.
