MaddJazz Flips ‘King’s Dead’ in New Routine
Chicago DJ and turntablist MaddJazz has flipped “King’s Dead” in a new routine for DJcityTV. The former DMC and Red Bull Music 3Style competitor applied his technical scratching and beat juggling to the track.
The hit song from the Black Panther soundtrack boasts an all-star lineup of Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake. The track reached No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and was DJcity’s 11th most downloaded track of January.
In 2013, MaddJazz appeared on DJcityTV’s acclaimed Chicago episode of the Cutting Room, alongside DJs Trentino, Big Once, Boi Jeanius, and Flipside.

Damianito, the Red Bull 3Style Italy champ, throws down a routine at DJcity’s Los Angeles studio using Losco.’s “Dank” and Skrillex‘s remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s “HUMBLE.” The Rome native is DJcity’s Italy representative.

DJ Cross, a former 2016 Red Bull 3Style Belgium champion and DMC world team champion, performs a routine using Skrillex‘s remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s “HUMBLE.” The track was DJcity’s 14th most downloaded of October.

DJ 4REST Performs Routine Using ‘N#ggas in Paris’ and ‘HUMBLE.’
DJ 4REST, a member of Japanese duo A4, performs a routine using the group’s remixes of JAY-Z and Kanye West‘s “N#ggas in Paris” and Kendrick Lamar‘s “HUMBLE.” In 2014, 4REST competed in the Red Bull 3Style Japan Finals.

VaZee Wins ‘Humble.’ DJ Challenge

After reviewing hundreds of entries, DJcity has chosen Poland’s VaZee as the winner of our DJ challenge for Kendrick Lamar‘s “Humble.,” produced by Mike Will Made-It.
The runners-up are Japan’s DJ Fummy and the USA’s DJ FingerSmith.
A decorated turntablist, VaZee won the 2014 and 2015 IDA World Championship and the 2015 Red Bull 3Style Poland Championship, among other titles. He’ll receive a new Pioneer DJ DJM-S9 mixer as the prize.
There were a lot of impressive entries, so it wasn’t an easy decision. Shout out to all the DJs who took the time to submit a video.
