SH8K Remixes Tiësto and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘The Business Pt. II’: DJcity Exclusive

San Diego-based DJ/producer SH8K is back with another exclusive remix, this time giving Tiësto and Ty Dolla $ign‘s “The Business, Pt. II” a thumping refresh. Just a month after its release, Tiësto’s and Ty’s revamp of last fall’s global top-five dance hit “The Business” has racked up over six million plays on Spotify.

SH8K notes that he “really enjoyed making this remix.” He adds that he “loved the original and thought it could use a little energy and some bounce.”

Richastic and Sesman Release ‘Guantanamera’ on DJcity Records

German DJ/producer Richastic has partnered with vocalist Sesman for DJcity Records’ latest release, a grooving refresh of the Cuban anthem “Guantanamera.” The century-old tune has been made famous and reinterpreted by numerous artists, including the likes Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, and Wyclef Jean. The remix’s energetic drums and stuttering cuts give the classic a modern, tropical house feel.

“One of the most beloved classics known around the world deserves to be always present, and thus to be adapted to the changing times,” Richastic says. “The song’s positive, happy vibe made it easier for me to take on the challenge of making a ‘Richastic’ version of it. Sesman and I got down to it and reinterpreted it.”

DJ Alize Drops ‘DJcity Podcast’ Mix

Edmonton-born, Toronto-based DJ Alize has dropped a vibey and soulful set for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour mix is heavy on hip-hop mixed with R&B, dancehall, and moombahton remixes.

Back in his hometown, Alize spun on Hot 107 FM Edmonton and as a “Fan Zone” DJ for the National Hockey League’s Edmonton Oilers. He’s currently the director for Toronto DJ collective Foreign City Canada, a partner at DNA Creative Inc., and has recently launched music distribution service Love Distro. Uganda-based DJ Emmie Delivers High-Energy ‘Bedroom Sessions’ Routine

Kampala, Uganda’s DJ Emmie has dropped a high-energy routine for DJcityTV’s Bedroom Sessions. His creative, open-format performance highlights his wordplay and scratching skills.

Emmie, a.k.a. “EmThatGuy,” has been DJing for two years. He’s been keeping busy with his two mix series: U.K Streets, which features grime, drill, and AfroSwing from UK-based artists, and Music Connects Us, where he features a blend of various genres. His career goals include DJing at the AfroNation festival and competing in the Red Bull 3style.

DJcity’s own DJ Dainjazone has delivered a smooth, laid-back club mix for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour set features R&B, disco house, throwbacks, and more, including a few of his own productions.

Dainjazone has made a mark on DJ culture over the last decade as co-host of the MikiDZ Show and MikiDZ Podcast. He is also a part of the MikiDZ Radio and Astra’s World shows on Pitbull’s Globalization channel on SiriusXM. Since traveling the world as LMFAO‘s tour DJ, he has been a staple in the nationwide club circuit at such venues as DAER Nightclub in Atlantic City, The Grand in Boston, and Shrine in Connecticut.
