DiscoTech Drops Future House Remix of Nathan Sykes’ ‘Kiss Me Quick’

DiscoTech wasn’t messing around when they announced that they were relaunching last July. The Miami-based DJ/producer duo has since gone on to release over a dozen high-caliber remixes, fourteen of which have been added to DJcity. Of those fourteen, four of them have made DJcity’s monthly top 50 chart.

Showing no signs of slowing, DiscoTech’s Joe Maz and Konflikt continue their momentum with a future house flip of Nathan Sykes’ “Kiss Me Quick.” The duo’s rework of the former Wanted singer’s solo debut is further proof that they’re one of the most consistent remix duos in the game.

Watch Shiftee’s Workshop on the History of Turntablism

In addition to rocking clubs and battling some of the world’s best turntablists, Shiftee is also an instructor at Dubspot, a reputed electronic music school.

Earlier this year, the two-time DMC World Champion gave a workshop on the history of turntablism and those who didn’t attend it can now watch a recap video. The class was part of Dubspot’s free weekly series, the “EDU Sessions.”

The video begins with Shiftee discussing Grand Wizard Theodore, who’s widely credited as the inventor of scratching, and ends with today’s digital scene. It’s an essential watch for anyone interested in learning about turntablism and how it’s evolved throughout the years.
