Pioneer DJ has announced the DDJ-XP2, an add-on controller for rekordbox dj and Serato DJ Pro.

The DDJ-XP2 adds to the functionality of the DDJ-XP1, but retains the build quality and layout of the original unit.

Key new features include:

– Works natively with both rekordbox dj and Serato DJ Pro
– 32 performance pads
– Silent Cue feature available in Serato DJ Pro for the first time
– Unique Slide FX control

Diplo to Join MK for Rare B2B Set at All My Friends Festival

Diplo has been added to the lineup of Destructo‘s second annual All My Friends festival, which goes down in Los Angeles on Oct. 19 and 20. The Mad Decent boss will join house legend MK for a rare B2B set.

The announcement follows the launch of Diplo and Mad Decent’s new house label imprint, Higher Ground, in August.

Diplo and MK won’t be the only high profile DJs to perform at All My Friends. The multi-talented Idris Elba will headline, along with legendary French duo Justice, and rising South African house star Black Coffee.

Introducing the Red Bull 3Style X Mexico finalists: J Medina, T-Machine Gun, Dj Georgia, DJ Ulises Gonzalez, JIMMIX, and Axel Mendoza. All six will compete in Mexico City on Oct. 24.

Kanye’s ‘Dark Fantasy’ Receives Future Bass Remix From Cutswell and Squared

Arizona DJ/producers Cutswell and Squared have delivered a future bass remix of Kanye West‘s 2010 anthem, “Dark Fantasy.” The duo’s creative rework breathes new life into the Yeezy classic, making it playable in club and festival environments.

Born in Boston and based in Scottsdale, Cutswell holds residencies across the US, including in Chicago, Miami, and San Diego. He has also been involved with high-profile events, such as the NBA All-Star Weekend and Red Bull 3Style.

Squared serves as a mixer at Phoenix’s Power 98.3 hip-hop and R&B station.

Would you love to attend the 2019 Goldie Awards DJ and beat battle in New York City? Enter DJcity’s contest for a chance to win a trip with a friend.

The winner will receive a roundtrip flight for two people, a hotel room for one night, and VIP access to the Goldie Awards on October 17 at Brooklyn Steel.

The contest is open to DJs and beatmakers in the US and Canada.

To enter, post a 60-second or less video of yourself on Instagram flipping the word “gold” in either a DJ or beat routine. You must tag @DJcity and @goldieawards in your caption, and include the hashtag #SendMeToGoldieAwards. Entries are due by October 1, 2019.

DJcity will pick a winner based on creativity.

The national finalists for the Red Bull 3Style X have been announced.

The national finals will take place from October 2019 to February 2020, with the winners of those rounds competing at the world finals in Moscow in April 2020. Four wildcard contenders from non-participating countries will also be selected in February 2020 to compete at the world finals.
