DJ Dwells & DJ Esquire Trade Insults in Humorous Interview

This year’s DMC New York City Champion, DJ Dwells, and two-time DMC USA Champion, DJ Esquire, recently interviewed each other at Scratch DJ Academy. However, what began as a civil discussion between two talented DJs quickly devolved into a back-and-forth session of backhanded insults. We assume that both DJs respect each other and the questions were probably planned in advance but the video is pretty funny nevertheless.

Last month, DJcity TV aired its first episode of the “Cutting Room” starring DJs from outside California. Now, the Windy City gets a chance to shine in our latest episode. We’re not picking favorites but this might be our best episode yet!

The four minute scratch session features Chicago’s Boi Jeanius (103.5 Kiss FM), Flipside (Jump Smokers, B96), Big Once (US Red Bull Thre3style champ), Maddjazz and Trentino (103.5 Kiss FM, Midwest Red Bull Thre3style champ) getting wild on the decks. The instrumental is “Ya’ll Can’t Mess with Chicago” by Jump Smokers.

Special thanks to Scratch DJ Academy for letting us film at their new location!
