Rafik and Karol Tip Release Trap Heater, ‘Bolt’: Exclusive Premiere

Former DMC World champion Rafik has connected with fellow German DJ/producer Karol Tip for a trap heater called “Bolt.” The track is out now on DJ Craze‘s Slow Roast Records.

Craze tells us, “Understated drums lay the backdrop for flexing synths and ominous horns on this tune that’s sure to wake the neighbors. Enjoy!”

Watch Rafik’s MikiDz Show Set

Rafik, the 2007 DMC World Champion, performed on the season finale of DJcity’s MikiDz Show on Monday. The German DJ/producer served up an hour of hip-hop, trap, and future bass laced with impressive turntablism and finger drumming. It was a great way to close the year, which included memorable sets from Z-Trip, Craze, Just Blaze, among others.

Rafik Will Perform on the Next MikiDz Show Episode

Rafik, the 2007 DMC World Champion, will be the featured performer for the season finale of the MikiDz Show on November 7.

A native of Düsseldorf, Germany, Rafik now resides in Brooklyn, where he focuses on production. In May, Rafik teamed up with Craze on the single “Feel My Sound,” which was featured on DJcity.

The live stream will begin at 7 p.m. PST and be hosted by MikiWAR and DJ Dainjazone.

Watch Rafik, Kireek and Yuto Throw Down at Native Instruments’ Tokyo Studio

Before winning the DMC World Championship on Saturday, DJ Yuto stopped by Native Instruments’ studio in Tokyo for a cut session. He was joined by 2007 DMC World Champion DJ Rafik and former five-time DMC World Team Champions Kireek. They were equipped with four Technics turntables, three Native Instruments Z2 mixers, and two custom Native Instruments Maschine controllers. Watch above to see what happened.

Craze and Rafik Connect for New Song, ‘Feel My Sound’

Craze dropped some unreleased tracks during his recent set on DJcity’s MikiDz Show, one of which was “Feel My Sound,” his collab with fellow DMC champ Rafik. The single, which is now available on DJcity, is the fourth release on Goodies, his new sub-label under Slow Roast Records. Stream it below and download it on DJcity.
