Watch Travis Scott’s Funny Interview with Nardwuar
It’s been a while since we’ve watched a Nardwuar interview, but we had to press play when we found out he recently spoke with rapper and producer Travis Scott. The Texas native’s debut studio album Rodeo was one of the biggest rap releases of the year.
Some of the more interesting topics discussed were Scott’s appreciation for rock music and his dad and grandpa’s musical backgrounds. His DJ, CHASE B, also joined in on the fun.
Scott’s club hit “Antidote” is currently number 20 and climbing on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Zedd Discusses Rock Influences with Nardwuar
Nardwuar is one of the best interviewers. His appearance and delivery might be considered weird by some people, but his videos are almost always entertaining and revealing. While many interviewers ask obvious questions, Nardwuar does a lot of research and inquires about relevant topics, many of which are obscure yet interesting.
His latest interview with German superstar Zedd is no different.
During the eleven and a half minute conversation, Nardwuar got the DJ/producer to open up about his love for rock music and his family’s musical background. For example, Zedd revealed that his hit single “Find You” was influenced by British classic rock band Queen. We also learned his stepmother is in a cover band that performs his songs, along with those of Pharrell Williams and Lorde.
This interview reminds us that the new generation of EDM artists often come from diverse backgrounds. Hit producers like Zedd and Avicii have both said they weren’t originally interested in dance music, and during his interview with Nardwuar, Zedd even admitted he isn’t “very familiar with DJ history.” Whether or not you like their music, this might explain why their approach is so different from others in the EDM world.

Dillon Francis Gets Weird with Nardwuar
During a recent visit to Vancouver, EDM’s resident comedian Dillon Francis met up with the notorious Nardwuar to shoot the sh#t and chat about his career. Aside from some good laughs, we learned that Dillon was once obsessed with punk icon Darby Crash and is one of the only DJs to perform at both the Indy 500 and Comic-Con. Dillon also discussed his meltdown earlier this year at Holy Ship! after a girl spilled a drink on his laptop.
Dillon’s new single “We Make It Bounce” featuring Major Lazer and Stylo G is currently #4 on DJcity’s chart. Grab it here if you haven’t already done so.
