Gucci Mane, Bruno Mars, and Kodak Black Connect for New Single, ‘Wake Up in the Sky’

Gucci Mane, Bruno Mars, and Kodak Black have connected for a surprise collaboration, “Wake Up in the Sky.”

The laid-back track features all three artists boasting about their success over a Bruno-produced instrumental. It is the first time Bruno and Kodak have appeared on a song together.

Watch: DJ Step1 Performs Routine Using Ableton Push 2

Ableton recently enlisted Bay Area turntablist DJ Step1 to showcase the company’s Push 2 controller in a live performance.

Step1 put down an impressive routine, combining sampling, scratching, and finger drumming to create a track. In an additional video, she explained how she integrates her DJ setup with Push, then breaks down how she mapped the project in Live.

A veteran in the turntablism scene, Step1 is best known for producing a battle record called Bikini Wax with DJ Shortee in 2007. Bikini Wax is the first battle record to be released by a female DJ. Step1 owns the Sequence One music school in Oakland.

Finnish DJ/producer Marcus Maison has dropped an electro house remix of Pitbull‘s 2011 smash “Give Me Everything” featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer. The track is available exclusively on DJcity.

Released in 2011, “Give Me Everything” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been certified six-times platinum.

Major Lazer Enlists Burna Boy for New Single and Video, ‘All My Life’

Major Lazer has played an important role in helping bring Afrobeats to new audiences. The trio has collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest stars, including Mr Eazi (“Let Me Live,” “Leg Over Remix“), Wizkid (“Naughty Ride,” “My Love“), and Patoranking (“Particula“).

Now, Major Lazer connects with Nigerian star Burna Boy for a new anthem, “All My Life.” The track follows the group’s Afrobeats mix, which dropped on Spotify on Wednesday.

Here they are, the Red Bull Music 3Style IX France finalists: DJ VALAK, spawn, T-Sia, Mystykal Kut, HAMMA, and Sam’ZER. All six DJs will compete in Nantes on Oct. 6.

On this episode of DJcityTV’s Tips and Tricks, Mojaxx gives the first review of Denon DJ’s SC5000M media player.

Announced in August, the SC5000M is based on the SC5000 Prime but adds a motorized platter with real, seven-inch vinyl. The device “has the potential to revolutionize the DJ media player space,” according to Mo.

Denon will begin shipping the SC5000M this fall with a price of $1,899.
