Yoda also talked about the influence of reggae and dancehall in the UK scene, helping design products for Pioneer DJ, among other topics.

Just in time for Independence Day, ZIGGY has dropped a remix of Miley Cyrus‘ hit song “Party in the U.S.A.” Released in 2009, the original peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The Dutch DJ/producer’s moombahton-tinged flip is available exclusively on DJcity.

ZIGGY has had an impressive year so far, with four of his remixes appearing on DJcity’s monthly Top 50 chart. They include reworks of Rihanna‘s “Diamonds” (No. 23), JAY-Z‘s “Empire State of Mind” (No. 12), Kevin Lyttle‘s “Turn Me On” (No. 1), and Shakira‘s “Hips Don’t Lie” (No. 6).

It’s been a while since Sak Noel has dropped a new track. That’s because the Spanish moombahton boss has been busy performing and running his Barnaton label.

However, Noel has returned with his labelmates Salvi and Franklin Dam to rework DJ Snake and J Balvin‘s global anthem “Loco Contigo” featuring Tyga. The original version is currently No. 5 on DJcity, after peaking at No. 1.

The remix, which Sak describes as “hard moombah,” gives the original with more energy for club and festival play.

Watch SpydaT.E.K’s ‘MikiDz Show’ Set

Las Vegas-based DJ/producer SpydaT.E.K has been a long time fan of the MikiDz Show, and on Monday, he got a chance to perform on it.

The Los Angeles native is a favorite in the open-format scene, and as such, notable DJs such as Sak Noel, TonyTone, Audio1, and Lazyboy came out to see his set.

Spyda lived up to his reputation, delivering an eclectic and creative performance with heavy Latin and Caribbean influences. His selection included unreleased tracks from Mete Mano, his new duo with Craze, which Spyda announced during the interview segment. (In 2018, Craze tweeted that Spyda was his new favorite DJ.)
