Ziggy and Mr. Bermuda Remix Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘Thrift Shop’ Feat. Wanz: DJcity Exclusive

Dutch DJs/producers ZIGGY and Mr. Bermuda‘s latest collaboration is a remix of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis‘ 2012 hit “Thrift Shop” featuring Wanz. Since its release, the Billboard #1 hit single sold 10 million-plus copies worldwide.

Similar to their other moombahton-style edits that have excelled on the DJCity charts, the duo finds a unique element of the track and flips it. In this case, the horn line is chopped and tweaked, adding a fun flavor to balance out the low-end.

ZIGGY says, “[Mr. Bermuda and I] both play at the same clubs all across the country and we play the same events. We wanted to bring this track back to life because we love it so much and gave it a little twist and sauce of our own. We want this remix to be played all over the world once this whole COVID situation is over! For us, this is an absolute club banger!”

Dutch DJ/producer ZIGGY teamed up with Swiss DJ Replay M for a Latin rework of Taio Cruz‘s 2009 hit “Dynamite.” The remix is available exclusively on DJcity.

The original song peaked at No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and No.1 on both the UK Singles Chart and Canadian Hot 100.

“I always loved this song and still play the original today, but it needed a fresher sound!” ZIGGY says. “I used a lot of Latin vibes for this remix, but I kept the original elements so it still preserves it’s main core. The moment everyone puts their hands up and shout, ‘ayooooo’ gives me chills! I’m going to continue to play this song for many years to come.”

Far East Movement’s ‘Like A G6’ Remixed by ZIGGY: DJcity Exclusive

Dutch DJ/producer ZIGGY is back with a flip of Far East Movement‘s 2010 hit “Like A G6.” The remix is available exclusively on DJcity.

The track, which featured Dev and The Cataracs, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Since its release, it has been certified four-times platinum by the RIAA.

“‘G6’ has been a little forgotten over the years and it reminded me how I was partying to this track,” ZIGGY says. “I dropped the original a while back ago and people were going bonkers! That’s the moment I knew I had to remix this one.”

Just in time for Independence Day, ZIGGY has dropped a remix of Miley Cyrus‘ hit song “Party in the U.S.A.” Released in 2009, the original peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The Dutch DJ/producer’s moombahton-tinged flip is available exclusively on DJcity.

ZIGGY has had an impressive year so far, with four of his remixes appearing on DJcity’s monthly Top 50 chart. They include reworks of Rihanna‘s “Diamonds” (No. 23), JAY-Z‘s “Empire State of Mind” (No. 12), Kevin Lyttle‘s “Turn Me On” (No. 1), and Shakira‘s “Hips Don’t Lie” (No. 6).

Dutch DJ/producers ZIGGY and Mr Bermuda have joined forces on a remix of Kevin Lyttle‘s 2003 soca classic, “Turn Me On.” It is available exclusively on DJcity.

“We wanted to give this song a more powerful vibe and something to build up to,” ZIGGY says. “We’ve loved playing it for years, and now we’ve made it even more club friendly.”

The original version of “Turn Me On” was a worldwide hit, peaking in the top 10 in 15 countries.
