Murda Beatz discusses his production inspirations, working with Drake, how to make it as a “Youtube producer” in the social media age, and more. He also talks about how Toronto has been able to maintain creative domination over much of hip-hop music and culture.

Watch Major Lazer, MC Lan, and Anitta’s ‘Rave De Favela’ Music Video

Major Lazer continues to release vibes in line with Carnival season. The Diplo-led group pairs with Brazilian artists Anitta and MC Lan for “Rave de Favela.” The video for the track is now available.

The visual centers around a wild photoshoot featuring the artists. Carnival season opens this Thursday, so the urban anthem is aimed for this weekend’s activities in the streets of Rio and beyond. Continuing with the theme, Major Lazer has recently released its Soca Storm EP.
