Watch: OUTLOW Performs Technical Routine Using CDJs

Italian turntablist OUTLOW has delivered an exclusive set for DJcityTV with his trademark throbbing basslines and hard breaks.

In the past three years, OUTLOW’s highlights include playing Reload Music Festival at Turin’s 15,000-plus seat Pala Alpitour arena, as well as activities sponsored by Billboard Italy.

Regarding the performance, he says, “this routine [involves] me giving two of my favorite songs more swing. I actually recorded it in one take.”

Red Bull 3Style Announces Headliners for 3Style X World Championships

An all-star lineup of guest DJs will converge upon Moscow on April 20-28 for the Red Bull 3Style X World Championships. Most significantly, the Invisibl Skratch Piklz (A-Trak, Qbert, D-Styles, Shortkut, Apollo, Mix Master Mike) will reunite for the first time in two decades, with Apollo’s appearance being his first with the Piklz in 27 years.

All nine previous 3Style World Champions will be in attendance. Plus, names including Australian DJ and producer What So Not, Grammy award-winning DJ Jazzy Jeff, NLV Records founder Nina Las Vegas, and nearly two dozen more top turntablists and selectors will appear.

20 National Champions and four Wildcard competitors from around the world will compete for the World Championship. But, as 3Style organizers note, the competition has a deeper purpose. “Red Bull 3Style is a global community that brings 24 competitors together with a guest lineup of the most skilled and established DJs in the world, to learn, develop and celebrate the art of ‘playing with music.'”

Watch The Producers of Roddy Ricch’s ‘The Box’ Explain How They Made The Track

Producers 30 Roc and Dat Boi Squeeze recently sat down with Genius for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Roddy Ricch‘s “The Box.”

The soulful trap rap ballad reached #1 on the Billboard charts six weeks after its December 6 release. As the Genius clip notes, this was accomplished without a video accompanying the track. If looking for the “secret” to the hit, there’s a nod to the Roland SRX Orchestra VST.

30 Roc is currently signed to a production deal with Mike WILL Made It‘s EarDrummers Entertainment. He has produced other notable club favorites, including Yo Gotti‘s 2017-released Nicki Minaj collaboration “Rake It Up,” and “Bartier Cardi,” Cardi B‘s 2018-released collaboration with 21 Savage. He’s also the producer of “King’s Dead,” the Black Panther soundtrack single featuring Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake.
