The Ultimate USB Backup Solution


 
If you’re a DJ and getting paid to play, then dead air is a crime. For this episode of “Tips & Tricks,” DJcityTV’s tech guru Mojaxx explains how to backup your sets with USB drives to ensure that you can still perform, even if your laptop stops working. Mojaxx’s simple solution requires only two USB drives, rekordbox, and either Serato DJ or Scratch Live. The technique explained in this video can also be applied to Traktor.

Mixed In Key Introduces Automatic Cue Points for Serato and Traktor


 
Mixed In Key 7.0 was released today and it comes with a new feature that enables DJs to automatically create cue points. This is a useful addition, as it saves DJs who use Serato and Traktor from listening to all of their tracks and manually creating cue points. Native Instruments has introduced Traktor Kontrol S8 — its new flagship all-in-one DJ system.
 

“Experience a new way to mix and perform with TRAKTOR KONTROL S8 – a 4-channel stand-alone mixer, professional audio interface, and enhanced performance decks for ultimate control over the included TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO software.”

 
Notable features include touch-sensitive controls, high-resolution color displays, Remix Deck controls, plug-and-play, and seamless Traktor Pro integration.
