Mojaxx Takes a Look at Ortofon’s New VNL Cartridges and Gold Smokin Shells
In this episode of Tips and Tricks, Mojaxx takes a first look at Ortofon’s new VNL cartridges, designed with turntablists in mind. They’re currently available in an introductory pack containing one cartridge and three stylii, allowing users to decide which of the three available stylus options they prefer.
Plus, he reviews the incredibly bling 24-karat gold-plated headshells from Smokin Shells, which pretty much fall into the “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it” category.

Smokin Shells Custom Headshells Review
After seeing DJs from all over the world using them, Mojaxx had to get his hands on a pair of the Smokin Shells custom headshells. Made by Atlanta’s DJ Rasta Root, Smokin Shells differ from generic headshells in two crucial ways. Firstly, they have a chrome-like finish, and secondly, your logo can be laser engraved on them.
