Showtek’s ‘Slow Down’ Remixed by SH8K: DJcity Exclusive

Frequent DJcity remixer SH8K has just dropped his remix of Showtek‘s “Slow Down” exclusively on DJcity. The 2013 electro banger gets SH8K’s signature treatment with a thumping bassline and modern energy.
“I really just wanted to remake something with a lot of energy and I always loved this tune from the time it came out,” SH8K says. “Adding the lyrics from [Sage the Gemini‘s] ‘Gas Pedal‘ just seemed like icing on the cake and a clever way to make the track even more relatable to audiences.”

Watch Major Lazer and Showtek’s ‘Believer’ Video
Major Lazer and Showtek have shared a powerful video for their trap collaboration, “Believer,” the seventh most downloaded on DJcity in October. The visual, which was filmed in the Middle East, was inspired by the ongoing war in Syria.
Director Christopher Louie said in a press release: “As dark as the subject matter is, the point of our ‘Believer’ video was to capture the resilience of youth and the hope displayed by communities coming together to save victims from the rubble.”

Watch Showtek Perform at TomorrowWorld 2014
Those who missed Showtek’s performance at this year’s TomorrowWorld festival can now watch their entire 74-minute set from start to finish. The Dutch duo, which consists of two brothers, took command of the crowd with dozens of hard-hitting tracks, including plenty of their own productions.
