The latest episode of Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette features legendary hip-hop producer 9th Wonder. Besides being a member of Little Brother, 9th has produced for heavyweights like Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole.

Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette is one of our favorite series on YouTube. It’s always interesting to see how sampled-based producers put together tracks, especially when done on the fly with random records.
 
For the latest episode, Grammy-nominated producer Scoop DeVille creates a track using albums by James Taylor, The Righteous Brothers, and Aztec Two-Step, which he picked up at Scotty’s Record Shop in New Jersey. For those who don’t know, Scoop is best-known for producing Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice” and “The Recipe” and Snoop Dogg’s “I Wanna Rock.” Most recently, he produced Snoop’s “Back Up” (currently number fifteen on DJcity).

Watch Just Blaze Make a Beat on the Fly


 
Mass Appeal has released another episode of Rhythm Roulette. The latest episode features renowned hip-hop producer Just Blaze, who has produced for the likes of Jay Z, Eminem, and Kanye West.
 
Rhythm Roulette invites producers to show off their skills by participating in a challenge. The producer selects three random records while blind-folded in a record store, and in turn, makes a beat by sampling them.
 
This time, Just Blaze visits Generation Records in Manhattan, New York. Watch to see what records he picks and how he uses his production expertise to lay down a beat.
