Major Lazer’s ‘Lean On’ Remixed by Ty Dolla $ign

Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s “Lean On” was already on track to be the song of the summer, but a new remix from Ty Dolla $ign only increases the chances.
 
Delivered to us by Diplo himself, the latest version features a new verse from the Los Angeles rapper, who Dip previously collabed with on “Stand For.”
 
While “Lean On” is no doubt perfect in its original form, Ty’s remix gives it a different vibe and makes it more appealing to hip-hop clubs.

Major Lazer & MO Perform ‘Lean On’ on ‘Jimmy Fallon’

 
Major Lazer and rising singer MO performed their hit single “Lean On” on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” last night.
 
Though summer has only just begun, the DJ Snake-assisted track is likely to be one of the hottest of the season. It’s currently number one on Shazam and number 17 and climbing on Billboard’s Hot 100.

With Major Lazer’s “Lean On” currently at number one on Shazam’s chart, the company caught up with the group to discuss how the single came about. Major Lazer Releases VIP Remix of ‘Light It Up’

Now that Major Lazer’s new album Peace is the Mission has been out for a week, Diplo has sent us a VIP remix of one of the project’s best tracks, “Light It Up.” The new version is more energetic than the original, thanks an increased tempo and the addition of piercing synths.

Listen to Major Lazer’s Mix and Interview for Power 106

After releasing their new album Peace is the Mission on Monday, Major Lazer’s Diplo and Walshy Fire stopped by Los Angeles’ Power 106 today to catch up and drop a mix.
 
The two members spoke with “The Cruz Show” about a variety of topics, including their Snapchat strategy and the album’s features. Most interestingly, Diplo revealed that Major Lazer recorded a song with The Weeknd, but it wasn’t finished in time to make the album.

Watch the First Episode of the Major Lazer Cartoon


 
Major Lazer’s new cartoon series premiered on FXX last Thursday. The show is part of the network’s “Animation Domination” block and features music from the group.
 

“The animated series tells the story of a superhero named Major Lazer who, with the help of his two teenaged friends, Penny and BLKMRKT, fights against the villains that populate the futuristic dystopia that is Jamaica. A self-proclaimed ‘Guardian of the Groove,’ Major Lazer vows to fight for the rights of the Jamaican people and to bring down the ruthless curmudgeon, President Whitewall.” — FXX

 
Pitchfork has reported that the first season will include cameos from Tiesto, Aziz Ansari, Charli XCX, Andy Samburg, RiFF RAFF and others.
