Diplo and Skrillex Drop Surprise Jack U Album
In an unexpected move, Diplo and Skrillex’s Jack U group dropped their highly-anticipated debut album on Thursday night. The release comes as the duo hosts a live 24-hour DJ set through video streaming website, Twitch.
The 10-track album includes two previously released songs that are both available on DJcity: their debut single “Take U There” with Kiesza and a remix featuring Missy Elliot.
The following tracks from the album are now available on DJcity:
– Beats Knockin ft. Fly Boi Keno
– Febreze ft. 2 Chainz
– Jungle Bae ft. Bunji Garlin
– To U ft. AlunaGeorge
– Where Are U Now ft. Justin Bieber

Missy Elliott Remixes Jack U’s ‘Take U There’
After last week’s teaser, Diplo and Skrillex (aka Jack U) have unleashed Missy Elliot’s remix of their Kiesza-assisted single, “Take U There.” The new version is much like the original, except that it adds Missy’s powerful and distinctive vocals.
With her spectacular Super Bowl performance and now this remix, we can’t help but wonder if Missy is set for a comeback this year.

Diplo and Skrillex Discuss Similarities Between Hip-Hop and EDM
Diplo might be celebrating his birthday today but he and Skrillex still found time to stop by New York radio station Hot 97 for a chat. Speaking on the station’s “Ebro in the Morning” show, the two artists discussed their love for different genres and how their group Jack U is dedicated to combining them. Diplo also revealed he’s working on a track with Nas and another artist, and Skrill revealed he’s working on projects with Fergie and Missy Elliot.
“I never thought I was a dance producer. We had that lane for a little bit and we worked in it but we’ve always been bigger than that.” – Diplo
This is one the best interviews we’ve seen with either Diplo or Skrillex because it shows how diverse their musical influences are and why labeling them as EDM artists sells them short.

Skrillex and Diplo’s Jack U project is one the most forward-thinking groups in music right now. When it comes to live sets, the duo not only drops original material but also a wide variety of EDM and hip-hop bangers that align with their bass-centric mission.
On Saturday night, Jack U lived up to that reputation by delivering a highly-anticipated mix for BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “Diplo and Friends” show. The two-hour takeover contained plenty of new and exclusive music, including a Jack U track featuring 2 Chainz.
