André from RAC Discusses His Approach to Remixing
André Allen Anjos of RAC sat down with GRAMMY Pro to discuss what makes their remixes unique and his creative approach. While RAC is best-known for remixing artists such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Chromeo, Lana Del Rey, and Bob Marley, the principals discussed in the video above can be applied to any genre.
“Whenever I approach a remix, I try listen to what makes that song good, I try to distill the song into its essence — whether it’s a vocal or a hook or something — and I take everything else out.”
