MK Stands: The Ultimate Isolation System for Turntablists

Back in 2017, Mojaxx reviewed MK Stands’ isolation boots for the Technics 1200 and 1210 turntables. While Mo and turntablists like ESKEI83 love the boots, they’ve also been critical of them because they raise turntables slightly higher than the mixer.

As a result, MK Stands released an updated version in October called the Pro DJ Isolation System. The new boots put the mixer and turntables at the same height while offering better stability and protection from vibration.

On this two-part episode of Tips and Tricks, Mo gives an updated review of the original isolation boots and takes a look at the new system. ESKEI also makes a cameo.

B2K and Diddy’s ‘Bump, Bump, Bump’ Remixed by Tomcio: DJcity Exclusive

Dutch DJ/producer Tomcio has dropped a creative moombahton remix of B2K and Diddy‘s 2002 hit, “Bump, Bump, Bump.”

With its catchy hook and recognizable guitar riff, “Bump, Bump, Bump” peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It has remained a staple throwback for many DJs over the years.

Although this is the first time that Tomcio has been featured on DJcity, the Amsterdam resident has had two tracks on DJcity’s Top 50 chart: a remix of Christina Aguilera‘s “Genie in a Bottle” and a rework of R. Kelly‘s “Thoia Thoing.”

J Balvin Drops New Single, ‘Reggaeton’

Fresh off winning a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album, J Balvin has dropped a surprise single titled “Reggaeton.” The track is an ode to the genre and its legendary artists like Daddy Yankee and Tego Calderon.

Balvin also shared an accompanying video. The gritty visual finds him in Puerto Rico paying homage to the local culture.
