Mojaxx Shares Advice, Favorite DJ Gear, and More on ‘Off The Record’ Podcast

During this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, DJcity’s own Mojaxx sat down for an interview with the Off The Record podcast crew. He talks about his first gear setup, DJing with streaming music, pros and cons of social media, and more. He also shares his top pieces of advice for beginner DJs.

Off The Record is a DJ culture-oriented podcast hosted by the Crossfader online DJ school. Based in the UK, Crossfader offers classes in DJ hardware/software and turntablism.

Watch the Producer of Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot N#gga” Explain How He Made the Track

Producer Jahlil Beats recently sat down with Genius for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Bobby Shmurda‘s “Hot N#gga.”

Shmurda’s breakthrough track was released in 2014 and peaked at No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Over the past five years, the music video has reached 590 million views on Youtube.

Jahlil Beats made a name for himself producing for Meek Mill before working with Shmurda. In the video, he breaks the hit song down layer-by-layer in FL Studio.

BEAUZ & Maggie Szabo’s ‘Sayonara’ Remixed by Kastra

New Jersey-based producer Kastra dropped a deep house remix of BEAUZ and Maggie Szabo‘s feel-good dance track Sayonara.

The Los Angeles-based production duo made their debut release on Universal Music with their single “Sayonara.” The track received a full remix pack with remixes from Kastra, Myles & Gavin Francis, and Romen Jewels.

Discussing the title of the track, BEAUZ explained that “Sayonara” means good-bye in Japanese and that the song “is a healing elixir that encourages people to move on from bad romances and negativity.”
