BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra host MistaJam has been one of the UK’s leading radio DJs for over a decade. Now, the Nottingham native has stepped into the world of music production, dropping his debut single “Rotate” on Friday.

Released on Cedric Gervais’ Delecta Records, “Rotate” is a horn-driven, funky house track with dance-inducing vocals.

MistaJam explained why he began producing in a press release:

“Production is a big part of my history, and it feels like it’s time for me to enter into unchartered territory. ‘Rotate’ feels like the right song from the numerous tracks that are sitting on my hard drive to launch my artist career with. I am over the moon with the fact that Cedric and the team at Delecta love it as much as I do. I’ve been testing it out in my sets over the summer and it’s worked for every dance floor I’ve tried it at. I hope it works for you as much as it has for me!”
