A-Trak to Be Featured on Revolt TV’s ‘Respect the DJ’

A-Trak will be featured in the next episode of Revolt TV‘s Global Spin Presents: Respect the DJ. The series, which was launched in May, explores the lives of influential DJs.

The episode will show how A-Trak juggles running Fool’s Gold Records with his busy solo career. Tune in on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET and 10:30 p.m. ET.

Revolt TV Launches New Series That Explores the Lives of Successful DJs


 
Revolt TV is launching a new monthly series this week that explores the lives of the world’s most successful DJs. The first episode of Global Spin Presents: Respect the DJ will feature DJ Envy, co-host of Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. Watch the preview above and tune in on Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m. ET.

Watch Revolt’s Holy Ship! Documentary

Ever wondered what it’s like to party on the Holy Ship! festival cruise? Thanks to Revolt, those who’ve been itching to set sail in the Caribbean can now watch a documentary about this year’s event.
 
The network’s 30-minute video includes extensive interview and performance footage of artists such as A-Trak, Flume, Boys Noize, RL Grime, Laidback Luke, Disclosure and many more. The documentary also follows Holy Ship!’s founder Destructo as he hangs with artists and partygoers, all while providing commentary.
 
We’re not big fans of cruises, but after watching this video and talking with people who’ve attended Holy Ship!, we’ll definitely consider partaking in next year’s shenanigans.

RL Grime Discusses His Influences, Working with Big Sean

We’ve been following RL Grime ever since he dropped his remix of Kanye’s “Mercy” with Salva back in June 2012. A few months later, we saw the Los Angeles native tear down Dim Mak’s weekly party at the now-closed Drai’s Hollywood. We knew he had a bright future, even before the release of his acclaimed “Pour It Up” and “Satisfaction” remixes.
 
Two years later, and with millions of SoundCloud plays, Grime is on the verge of releasing his highly-anticipated debut album, VOID. The bass-heavy producer has already dropped three tracks from the project, which have received three million combined plays. The most recent — the Big Sean-assisted “Kingpin” — has amassed 300,000 plays in just two days.

Los Angeles’ DJ Million Faces performed on Revolt TV’s “1s and Tuesday” segment last Tuesday. His four-minute set included a creative choice of tracks accompanied by skilled scratching and tone play.
 
Million Faces was also featured on DJcityTV’s “Bedroom Session” series back in May. You can watch the episode here.
