Migos Team With Marshmello for New Single and Video, ‘Danger’
Migos have teamed with Marshmello for a new trap single, “Danger.” The track is a departure from Marshmello’s usual future bass sound.
“Danger,” which was released on Thursday with an accompanying video, appears on the soundtrack for the Netflix original movie Bright starring Will Smith.
Bright will be released on Netflix on Dec. 22. The soundtrack, which is out now, features a few more unlikely collaborations like A$AP Rocky and Tom Morello, and DRAM and Neil Young.

How the ‘Triplet Flow’ Took Over Rap
Migos (Photo source: Facebook)
In 2013, Atlanta trio Migos changed the hip-hop landscape when they dropped their breakout hit, “Versace.” The track put a spotlight on the group’s signature triplet style of rapping, which is now referred to as the “Migos flow.” The style has since remained a staple in rap, with many of today’s leading artists adopting it.
A triplet is an irregular rhythm that happens when three notes are played in the time of one beat. In the case of the “Migos flow,” the notes are instead words or phrases. Rappers use the flow to manipulate the beat and energy of a track by delivering their rhymes in a triplet cadence.
Recent examples of it include Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA,” Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” and 21 Savage’s “Bank Account.”
The style is not new, however, and Migos didn’t create it. It has been traced back to 1988 when Public Enemy used it in their iconic track, “Bring the Noise.”
News website Vox has examined the origins, development, and rise of the “Migos flow” in a new video.

Dancehall legend Sean Paul has joined forces with Atlanta rap trio Migos for a new single titled “Body.” The song, which features production from Jamaica’s Don Corleon, will appear on Sean’s forthcoming seventh studio album. It is the follow-up to “Suh Mi High,” which dropped last week.
In a statement to DJcity, Sean said,
“Migos is one of my favorite rap groups right now. I love how all three of them have different styles and it was wicked to have them flow over a dancehall-oriented track.”
