Deadmau5 Calls Out Kanye West for Software Piracy

deadmau5

Last night, Kanye West tweeted a screenshot to show fans what he was listening to on YouTube. The photo caught the attention of deadmau5, who noticed that one of Yeezy’s browser tabs was open to a Pirate Bay search for the Serum synthesizer plug-in, which is popular among dance and hip-hop producers. Having assumed that Kanye was looking to illegally download the software, deadmau5 responded with the following tweet:

The outspoken DJ/producer then followed up by suggesting a fundraiser should be launched so that Kanye can buy the plug-in. The tweet is presumably making fun of Kanye’s recent claim that he is $53 million in debt and appeal to Mark Zuckerberg for a $1 billion loan.

The piracy accusations come just weeks after sources reported that Kanye was considering a lawsuit against The Pirate Bay for illegally distributing The Life of Pablo. However, a suit has not yet been filed.

Kanye has since fired back at mau5 with a barrage of tweets making fun of his mouse outfit.
