Jay Bombay and Gavin Francis Remix Shade Sheist’s ‘Where I Wanna Be’ Feat. Nate Dogg and Kurupt: DJcity Exclusive

Belgian DJs/producers Jay Bombay and Gavin Francis have teamed up for a house remake of Shade Sheist‘s “Where I wanna Be,” featuring Nate Dogg and Kurupt. The original track was released on December 12th, 2000 via MCA Records as the first single from Shade Sheist’s debut studio album, Informal Introduction.

Regarding the new remix, Jay and Gavin said, “we were hanging out when suddenly Nate Dogg started playing. Immediately we started talking about giving our own touch to this classic record. That same day we hit the studio and created this remix.”

In addition to being a producer, Gavin Francis is also one of DJcity’s Dutch reps and DJcity Records’ Marketing Director.

DJcity Remixer Jay Bombay Links Up with SHRLT for Debut Single ‘Hooked On You’

Jay Bombay, a DJcity remixer based in Belgium, recently linked up with vocalist SHRLT for his debut single “Hooked On You.” The track was released by Axtone Records, the label founded by EDM heavyweight and Swedish House Mafia member Axwell.

“It was always a dream to sign a record to Axtone,” Jay says. “I remember dancing at the Axtone stage at Tomorrowland in 2019 with my friends, now releasing a song on the label… The story of how this came together is proof to never give up. Believe in yourself and your sound.”
