Jon1st and Shield Perform Live Turntablism/Production Set at ADE 2019
British turntablists/producers Jon1st and Shield have dropped a live performance video from Amsterdam Dance Event 2019. The set was recorded for the DJsounds series, Pioneer DJ‘s inside look at the global DJ scene.
The duo’s live set involves breaking down the elements of their original tracks and recreating the beats live, incorporating turntablism elements as well. They use a variety of equipment including turntables, drum machines, samplers, and sequencers.

During this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, DJcity’s own Mojaxx sat down for an interview with the Off The Record podcast crew. He talks about his first gear setup, DJing with streaming music, pros and cons of social media, and more. He also shares his top pieces of advice for beginner DJs.
Off The Record is a DJ culture-oriented podcast hosted by the Crossfader online DJ school. Based in the UK, Crossfader offers classes in DJ hardware/software and turntablism.

Martin Garrix Releases Second Part of Documentary
The second episode of “The Martin Garrix Show” takes you to his hometown Amsterdam for ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) for a week full of interviews, parties and DJ Mag’s Top 100. One of the best parts is when Dillon Francis interviews Martin Garrix at around the seven-minute mark. Afrojack also makes an appearance at about seventeen-and-a-half minutes in, where he discusses his bond with Martin, calling him his “little brother.”

Amsterdam Dance Event Reveals Initial 2014 Lineup
Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has revealed the initial lineup for its 18th annual festival and conference which takes place from October 15 to 19.
This year’s confirmed performers include Afrojack, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Lunice, Rustie, and Chase & Status, along with speakers Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Oliver Heldens, Seth Troxler, Live Nation’s Michael Rapino, and Hans Zimmer.
