UPDATE (MAY 1): Serato has reopened the beta after putting it on pause.
Serato on Wednesday announced its entry into the music production market with its Serato Studio software.
The application aims to lower the barrier to entry for DJs who are interested in music production. Features include access to the Serato DJ library, waveform displays, cue points, and time-stretching and key detection with Pitch ‘n Time.
Serato Studio works with a range of Serato-enabled hardware such as mixers and controllers, allowing them to function as MIDI controllers.
It is currently available as a limited public beta. Upon its full release, Serato Studio will be available via subscription to allow for regular software updates and additional sample content.
