Major Lazer member Walshy Fire will perform on DJcity’s MikiDz Show live stream on Monday, July 29. His appearance comes a month after the release of his debut album, ABENG, which blends Caribbean, African, and electronic sounds.

Born in Jamaica and raised in Miami, Walshy started as a member of the Black Chiney sound system. In 2011, he joined Major Lazer, in which he continues to serve as the MC. Though best known for being a member of Major Lazer, Walshy is an accomplished DJ/producer in his own right. He has recorded with Caribbean stars such as Mr. Vegas and Kranium, as well as African stars like Mr. Eazi and WizKid. Walshy is also the founder of Miami’s renowned Rum & Bass party, which takes place in other cities as well.

The MikiDz Show is hosted by MikiWAR and DJ Dainjazone and includes an opening set from DJ Rell. Watch it at 7 p.m. PT on DJcity’s website.
