Serato Releases 20th Anniversary Box Set and Documentary

Serato 20th Year Anniversary Box Set

Serato is celebrating two decades in business with a series of anniversary releases. First, a three-part documentary chronicling the company’s history has been developed. Also, a limited-edition anniversary box set is available for sale that includes two 20th Anniversary Serato control vinyl and a 20th Anniversary photograph book tracing the story of Serato from 1999 to 2019. These two items are now available on Serato’s website.

Serato has expanded from the minds of two New Zealand-based computer science students to be a worldwide product and tech staple. DJs including the likes of A-Trak, Jazzy Jeff, Rich Medina, Mix Master Mike, DJ Spinna, and more appear in the documentary.

First Look: Numark DJ2GO2 Touch

Two years after releasing their well-received DJ2GO2 portable DJ controller, Numark has delivered the DJ2GO2 Touch. The device features a series of innovative upgrades, including a built-in sound card and Serato DJ Lite. Plus, with the DJ2GO2 Touch, the DJ can perform hot cues, looping, and sampler effects. Most notably, DJs are now able to scratch, as it is enhanced with capacitive touch jog wheels.

On this week’s episode of Tips and TricksMojaxx looks at the controller and figures out just how well it keeps a DJ in the mix.

Watch: DJcity Japan’s Ten-Year Anniversary Recap

DJcity’s Japan team recently celebrated its ten-year anniversary with a run of shows in Tokyo and Osaka. Special guests included some of Japan’s top DJs including the 2013 Red Bull 3Style World Champion Shintaro, former 3Style Japan champions DJ IKU, DJ Fummy, DJ YOU-KI, DJ B=Ball, and many more.

The events were held at CLUB PICCADILLY in Osaka, WARP SHINJUKU in Tokyo, DJ Bar & Lounge Wrep in Tokyo, and on the online mixshow AbemaMix.
