If you subscribe to DJcity, there’s a good chance you’ve downloaded one of DJ Smerk’s bootlegs or edits before. The young DJ/producer has been cooking up exclusives for us since 2012, and this week, has handled duties for the DJcity Podcast. Smerk’s 30-minute set consists primarily of electro house and twerk, including remixes of some of today’s hottest hip-hop and R&B.

In addition to other duties at KIIS FM, Los Angeles veteran DJ Drew hosts the “Electric Mix” on the station every Friday from 5pm to 6pm. After releasing their new album Peace is the Mission on Monday, Major Lazer’s Diplo and Walshy Fire stopped by Los Angeles’ Power 106 today to catch up and drop a mix.
 
The two members spoke with “The Cruz Show” about a variety of topics, including their Snapchat strategy and the album’s features. Most interestingly, Diplo revealed that Major Lazer recorded a song with The Weeknd, but it wasn’t finished in time to make the album.

Miami’s DJ Obscene Drops Mix for DJcity Podcast

This week’s DJcity Podcast is mixed by DJ Obscene, a party rocker, turntablist and producer with over 10 years experience. Besides throwing down at clubs on a regular basis, the Miami native was a finalist in this year’s Red Bull Thre3style US Championship and just launched a show on Pitbull’s Globalization channel on SiriusXM. Obscene’s set for DJcity contains 30 minutes of new and forward-thinking music, mostly of the hip-hop, bass and house variety.
