DJ Eyecon Delivers Twerk-Heavy ‘Friday Fix’ Mix

Most of the mixes we feature in our podcasts include a wide range of BPM, but this week’s set from DJ Eyecon is one of the exceptions. Hovering around 100 BPM from start to finish, the North Carolina native’s mix contains a variety of twerk originals and remixes. In addition to being a veteran party rocker, Eyecon is also a Red Bull Thre3style competitor and the craftsmanship of his set reflects that.

Slovakia’s DJ Squeeze Wins DJcity Mix Competition

After a month-long competition, DJ Squeeze has won the DJcity Czech Republic and Slovakia mix contest hosted by Mixcloud. The competition was open to residents of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
 
Coming in at second and third place was DJ Chocolatic (Mikulov, Czech Republic) and DJ Skrkoo (Pezinok, Slovakia).
 
Squeeze’s prizes include a headlining set at Prague’s M1 Lounge and a Pioneer DDJ-SX2 controller. Stream his winning mix below.

DJ Javin Drops Bass-Heavy Mix for DJcity Podcast

This week’s DJcity Podcast is served up by Arizona’s DJ Javin, a mixer on Phoenix’s Power 98.3 and competitor in this year’s Red Bull Thre3style. The 24-year-old’s mix features 30 minutes of new music, primarily of the hip-hop, electro house and bass variety. Aside from a fresh selection of heaters, Javin’s set also includes blends, scratching and wordplay, keeping it interesting throughout.

Watch Chuckie’s Set for Pioneer’s DJsounds Show


 
Chuckie’s last set for Pioneer’s “DJsounds” show has received a million YouTube views since being uploaded two years ago. That, coupled with the Dutchman’s talent and legendary status, was reason enough for Pioneer to invite him back for a second mix last week. Chuckie put down an hour of house and tech house this time around and even got busy with a little scratching near the end (around 49 minutes in). Watch the interview and full set above.

Watch DJ B-Stee’s Routine for the Thre3style US Finals


 
In early April, Kansas City’s DJ B-Stee went up against some of the country’s best DJs at the Red Bull Thre3style US Finals. The “Cutting Room” turntablist faced fierce competition from seasoned DJs such as Dynamix, Trayze, and J. Espinosa, the latter of which took the crown.
 
Although B-Stee didn’t win, his routine was creative and well-executed. Those who didn’t attend the battle can now watch him perform it exclusively for DJcityTV in the video above.

Rising UK talent Jerome Price made his debut appearance on the legendary “Powertools Mixshow” early Sunday. The DJ/producer’s set featured a half-hour of deep and soulful house, including an original production and three of his remixes.
