Snoop Dogg Calls DJ Mustard and YG the ‘New Pioneers’ of West Coast Hip-Hop

DJ Mustard stopped by Snoop Dogg’s show GGN earlier this week to discuss his career and new album, 10 Summers. During the interview, Snoop praised the 24-year-old producer and his frequent collaborator YG.

“Y’all the new pioneers of the generation of hip-hop right now for the West Coast, you and YG . . . That’s y’all sound. It’s dope. I love it. I love it, I hear your name on everybody record and how everybody from R&B to hip-hop is getting at you.”

Snoop and Mustard also brainstormed the idea of doing a joint album called Hot Dogg Wit Mustard. We don’t know how serious they were but the concept definitely sounds dope.

Following their signing with Warner Bros Records back in June, Miami-based duo GTA has unleashed a bass-heavy rework of Destructo’s innovative track featuring YG. Watch Destructo’s ‘Party Up’ Video Feat. YG

A couple months ago, HARD Fest founder Gary Richards aka Destructo teamed up with Los Angeles rapper YG for a party-inducing track, aptly-titled, “Party Up.” Now, the g-house anthem, which was one of the most-downloaded tracks on DJcity last month, has received mouth-watering visuals set around a bus packed with strippers and booze. It’s safe to say this video does a perfect job of representing the track’s vibe.
